Q: Where will Sail Philadelphia take place?
A: Ships will be docked along the Delaware River Waterfront from Market Street to the end of the Penn’s Landing Marina. The Waterfront Festival will be at the Great Plaza at Penn’s Landing, between the Blue Cross RiverRink Summerfest at Market Street and Columbus Blvd and Spruce Street Harbor Park Sustained by Univest at Spruce Street and Columbus Boulevard. A: Yes, food and beverages will be available at the Waterfront Festival, Admiral’s Tavern Beer Garden on Cruiser Olympia, Blue Cross RiverRink Summerfest at Market Street, and Spruce Street Harbor Park Sustained by Univest.
Q: Can I bring my own food and beverages?
A: No outside food and beverages are permitted inside the Festival.
Q: Will there be entertainment at the Waterfront festival?

How do the ship boarding tickets work?
A: Sail Philadelphia will use timed tickets to minimize wait times and maximize your enjoyment. Guests will purchase one timed ticket for each ship tour. Tour tickets will be available every half hour from noon – 6:30 pm. Visitors are encouraged to show up at least 10 minutes before the time stated on their ticket. Tickets may not be available for sale on all ships for all times. You can find each ship’s schedule on the ship page and on ticketfly.
Q: Where can I purchase tickets?
A: It is highly recommended that guests pre-purchase tickets online as there is a daily maximum capacity for each ship. On-site ticket sales are first come, first serve, and there are no guarantees for admission.
Q: If I cannot attend, can I receive a refund for my ticket?
A: Waterfront Festival and Ship Tour tickets are non-refundable. Sail Away tickets are only refundable in the event that the ship captain cancels due to inclement weather.
Q: What if it rains?
A: Sail Philadelphia is a rain or shine event. Please check the weather and prepare accordingly.
Q: Can I get a discount for a large group?

Q: Will Spruce Street Harbor Park and Blue Cross RiverRink Summerfest at Market Street be open?
A: Both parks will be open to the public for the entirety of the festival. Guests are encouraged to enjoy everything Penn’s Landing has to offer.
Q: Will Independence Seaport Museum and National Historic Landmark ships Cruiser Olympia, and Submarine Becuna be open?
A: Yes, and all Sail Philadelphia tickets include same-day admission to Independence Seaport Museum. Admission to Cruiser Olympia and Submarine Becuna is not included in the Sail Philadelphia tickets and is a separate fee.
Q: What should I wear on my Sail Away Cruise?
A: Comfortable and weather appropriate clothing. Flat soled shoes are highly recommended.
Q: Will there be restrooms?
A: Restrooms will be available at various locations at Penn’s Landing. Ship tour vessels do not have public restrooms. Sail Away Cruise vessels do have restrooms.
Q: Are the ships handicapped accessible?
A: The ships themselves are not all handicapped accessible, but the Waterfront festival is fully ADA compliant. We are happy to work with handicapped guests to ensure they have the best Sail Philadelphia experience possible!
Q: Can I bring my dog or pet?
A: We ask that you leave pets at home. Certified service animals are welcome.
Q: What items are prohibited/allowed?
A: Prohibited: coolers, backpacks or large bags, glass bottles, outside food, outside alcoholic beverages, grills or barbeque, picnic or patio tables, tents, bicycles, skateboarding, in-line skating, illegal drugs, laser pointers, drones, weapons, amplifiers or loud music. No unlicensed solicitors or vendors allowed on the site.
Allowed: small clutch purses/bags (that are easily searchable), water bottle, folding/beach chairs, umbrellas, baby strollers, diaper bags (that are easily searchable), glass baby bottles, blankets or tarps (max size 10′ x 10′).
Q: What will security screenings be like?
A: Bags will be checked before visitors are permitted to enter. In order to make your wait time as short as possible we encourage you to not bring a bag. If this is not possible we recommend bringing the smallest bag you can.
